The Squirrel

Makers have a funny kind of memory… and a real talent for accumulating things. One more screwdriver, another measuring tape, a handful of screws “just in case.” We put it somewhere in the workshop, convinced we’ll remember… until the exact moment we actually need it.

When you think about it, that’s a lot like a squirrel.

These little creatures spend their days burying nuts all over the place. Thanks to their impressive spatial memory, they manage to find a good portion of them months later. But they also forget quite a few, which is why trees sometimes grow in the most unexpected places.

This cutting plan is a tribute to that little master of improvised storage. A lively, recognizable silhouette that’s enjoyable to cut and sand, and that will easily find its place in the workshop… maybe not too far from your secret screw stash.
